Maduros
are a traditional side dish in all of Latin
America. Easy to prepare, they add a tasty
sweetness to any meal.

Serves 6-8
Ingredients:
2 very ripe
plantains (the skin should be brownish black)
vegetable
cooking oil
Directions:
1. Heat a pan in ¼ inch
oil using medium heat.
2. Peel the plantains and cut
slices at an angle, about ¾ inch
thick.
3. Cook the plantains in oil,
about 2 minutes a side until brown.
4.
When brown, place the plantains on a paper towel to
remove any excess oil.
Serve, and enjoy with any
meal.
