A Cuban coctail traditionally made of five ingredients:  rum, sugar (sugar cane juice), lime,
carbonated water, and mint.  This mojito recipe is the original authentic recipe from Havana.

Ingredients:
3 teaspoons sugar
8 fresh yerba buena (mint leaves)

1 sprig of mint
2 ounces Havana Club white rum, or
   other good quality white rum
2 ounces club soda
2 ounces fresh lime juice

Directions:

1. Place 12 mint leaves, sugar, and lime juice in a glass.
2. Gently smash the mint into the lime juice, and sugar with a pestle (a heavy stick used for grinding),
or you can also use the back of a fork, or a spoon.
3. Add rum.  Top off with club soda, stir well, and garnish with sprigs of mint, or a lime wheel.
